Welcome to Year 3!
Here are some photos from our VERY wet and muddy trip to the river last week. We had a great time though and it really enhanced the learning we have been doing in class.
Have a look at photos of our super learning over the last few weeks! We have attended a Judo taster session, made a smoothie using pedal power and learnt all about flowers and plants in science. In geography we have been learning about rivers, and we have enjoyed making our own river collages and experimenting with messy play.
Please continue to support your child with their weekly homework tasks. The homework tasks develop and build on the learning we have been doing in class.
Each week the children have a choice from the homework menu. They can choose a starter, main course or dessert. If they are feeling really hungry they can complete more than one!
In addition to homework, children will be sent their spellings each week to practise.
Below are some examples of the fantastic homeworks produced so far this year. Mrs M. loves receiving and reading your homework!
Thank you to all the children who came dressed up as Ancient Greeks for the day! We had lots of fun on our special day. Our activities included learning the Greek alphabet, trying different foods, making Greek theatre masks and making Ancient Greek pots out of clay. We also enjoyed acting out the story of Athena's birth. Look through the pictures below to see all the fun we had!
Surprise Trip from Sheffield United Players!
We were having our P.E. lesson with the football coaches from Sheffield United when we were surprised with a visit from two Sheffield United footballers! Jose Baxter and James Wallace came to see our class and the children enjoyed asking them some questions. Here we are with the players.
C H I L D R E N I N N E E D!
We loved coming dressed up in our onesies for Children in Need. Here we are posing for some photos!
