WELCOME TO YEAR 3!
During this half term, we will continue to study Tribal Tales. We will be moving on from the Stone Age to learn about the Bronze Age and Iron Age. As part of our topic learning, we will be practising a class performance.
In English we will be writing our own pre-historic poems and then we will be writing a non-chronological report on the Lindow Man.
In guided reading we will be studying The Firework Maker's daughter by Philip Pullman. We will also be reading this story at the end of the day.
In maths we will be moving on to measures. In particular we will be focussing on length, mass and money. We will continue to practise addition and subtraction methods, and our times tables will be tested weekly via TT Rockstars.
Our science topic is all about rocks. We will be exploring different types of rocks for their properties and comparing and contrasting them.
In PE we will be doing hockey with Miss Sheardown on Mondays, and dance with Mrs Musgrave on Wednesdays.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to speak with us. Watch this space for photos of our fantastic learning!
