We are rock detectives! We have been identifying different types of rocks in the local environment and studying rocks up close.
Our topic this half term is forces and magnets. We have begun our learning by investigating 'What is a Force?' and testing out what can slow down or stop a force. We tested the pull of a toy car on different surfaces to see which surface had the most friction. In teams we worked to ensure that our investigation was fair and that we measured accurately. We all agreed that the pebbles in the sensory garden provided the most friction.
This half term we have been learning all about light. We know that light travels in straight lines and that some objects reflect light better than others. We also know that without light we wouldn't be able to see at all!
Have a look at our photos to see what we have been doing.
