Doyouthinkhesaurus? Yes he did - RUN!

Nothing gets the imagination going more than thinking about ginormous prehistoric creatures - we really let our inventive sides run wild this half term!

This half term kicked off with an archaeology day to help us to get in to the role of a historian.  We donned our paleontologist clothing and set out for a day of bone excavation, fact finding, dinosaur hunting and bone examination using scientific resources. We loved taking on this role and later used it to enhance our learning through play opportunities.

Our core text gave us lots of exciting writing opportunities such as imagining our own land of the wild things and writing letters to and from Max. We loved this book, with it's detailed pictures and gripping story line.

The dinosaur topic gave us plenty of opportunities to develop our maths skills, from counting dinosaurs, to writing our own word problems. We loved using the things we learnt about in maths to support our independent learning.
