Autumn 2 Burps, Bottoms and Bile

This half term our topic is called Burps, Bottoms and Bile! We will be exploring the human digestive system in all its guts and glory. We can't wait to get involved in the experiments, investigations and lines of child led enquiry. Our main focus for the learning will be:

Science- An investigation into the human digestive system and each organs role.

RE- Inspirational leaders from the modern world- Malala Yousafzai and The Dalai Lama

French- Recognise and name the body parts in french

English-Non-chronological reports and poetry

Art- Sketching and still life drawing of ourselves

Computing- Design our own games using Scratch

27.11.17 The end of the Eggsperiment! Today we poured the liquid away from our submerged eggs to inspect the damage.

27.11.17 Disclosing tablets! Today we split into 3 groups after lunch. One group did not brush their teeth, one group brushed but only with water and the third group brushed with toothpaste. We then swished a disclosing tablet round for 30 seconds to show up old and new plaque. Can you tell who was in which group?

20.11.17 What liquids do the least damage to eggs? We set up an investigation to find out the effects of sugary drinks on our teeth.
